Case Study: Engage Practice Solutions

EDI Export Engine Helps Create Value for Engage Practice Solutions Customers

As the shift from traditional fee-for-service to value-based healthcare continues to accelerate, opportunities are plentiful to optimize quality and revenue while reducing cost. Engage Practice Solutions is an EMS client that helps its customers to regularly identify risks and options to improve in both areas.

“We work to show clients where any holes are in the boat leaking water,” explains Gary Swing, Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Engage. “Then we provide ways to button those up and increase performance.”

One of the ways they achieve this is using EMS’s Export Engine software solution.

Working out of offices in Charlotte, North Carolina and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the team has been using the Export Engine software for two years.  Swing says that the Export Engine’s file management workflow, customization options and automatic batch processing have given the team a dependable “set it and forget it” virtual team member.

“It makes generating needed data faster and easier for our analysts to create customized recommendations for clients.

The fact that the software is platform agnostic has been a huge value, he adds.

“No matter what EMR you’re using, we can filter any 837P files using the Engine. It allows our reports to offer insights all the way down to the provider level that hospitals and others can take immediate action on.”

“It makes generating needed data faster and easier for our analysts. The fact that the software is platform agnostic also has been a huge value.”
