Converting EDI files into readable records in a batch process

The EDI Export Engine will process your HIPAA X12 EDI files into flat records that can be read into a database, opened in Excel, or imported into other systems. The EDI Export Engine collapses the hierarchical structure of X12 files and generates the records in a linear format.

Generate custom record exports from your HIPAA EDI files, and choose the data elements to be extracted from HIPAA EDI Files in an automated batch process.  Command-line based, this tool is ideal for parsing data for ingestion into other systems or into a data store.  Turn your hierarchical EDI files into linear records in a machine-readable delimited text file.   Supports 835, 837P, 837I, 837D, 271, 277CA, and 834 formats.

The EDI Export Engine is available in two versions:

The FLAT Export Version creates a single flat record file export from the EDI hierarchy with one service-level line per record line (claim header data is repeated).

The NORMALIZED Export Version creates multiple files from the EDI hierarchy, separating claim headers, service line details, adjustments, and more into individual delimited text files with relational keys.

EMS can also insert the data records directly into MS-SQL Server with our EDI Data Warehouse

have to say

The product [EDI Export Engine] was fairly easy to setup and has functioned reliably for the last year without any direct interference. Its performance is reliable given the large batch processes we run across our 835 files every Monday. I t has also provided us with the meaningful and structured output that we require to perform advanced analytics for payer compliance.

I love the EMS reader! I use it almost every day with my 835’s, 277’s and 999’s. I love the way you can sort by columns, names and even numbers.

Compliments to you and your team for responding so quickly to requests for adding segments to the reader that I needed to see.
