Edit X12 HIPAA EDI Files to Remove Protected Health Information (PHI)

Create a copy of your EDI files with cleansed PHI, while still maintaining the original structure and non-PHI data

• Masking is configurable, but the defaults are:
  • Generates “XXXXXXX” for name, address, and key Patient ID fields
  • Sets patient and subscriber Date-of-Birth to “01/01/2000”
  • Retains the original Claim ID (Patient Account Number) for claim tracing, but can also be masked if desired
  • Optionally will retain the first letters of the masked fields (default), or can also mask entire element with “XXXX”

(supports 837, 835, 834, 270/270, 276/277, and 277CA formats)

The above link takes you to our HIPAA-Secure download site.  The ZIP file contains the Executable and related INI file as well as a PDF file with Instructions and an End User License Agreement.  Copy and extract to a new folder in a Windows operating system, no need to install (See the download page below).
